Time for Bills to take a CHANce
I know the people of western New York are mortified by the thought of Chan Gailey being brought in to right the ship. Lets be honest the Bills have no chance of rising to the top of the AFC East anytime soon as presently constructed. However, what if the Bills just scrapped the idea of playing it safe?
Follow me here. Bills faithful seem to vomit at the mention of Michael Vick being brought in. What he did was heinous and evil. With that said he paid his debt to society and Bills fans are in no place to be picky. To those of you that think he isn't an adequate Qb any longer no matter your thoughts on what he did off the field, you may be right. But lets say Buffalo, brought in Vick, then drafted Tim Tebow, scrapped the whole notion of a conventional offense and just went with an abridged version of the spread? The biggest reason people in the know seem to think the spread would fail in the NFL is because the QB wouldn't be able to handle the pounding, but what if you focused only on bringing in quarterbacks that ran this offense in college...You could have at the minimum 3 QBs on the roster at all times that are adept at running the system, and in the case of Vick and Tebow it would be similar to that of the early millennium Giants, with thunder and lightning, only it would be coming in the form of the signal caller. They could alternate series heck even alternate plays depending upon the down and distance.
I know the idea seems absurd and its not something the Bills would ever do. My question is why not though. If they go forward as presently constructed they are looking at numerous blackouts next year, a fading fan base and presumably a new location in the near future. Why not try thinking outside the box. Whats the worst that happens? They miss the playoffs? As a Bucs fan I know the pain of losing, if nothing else, at least make the losing interesting.

Government sucks.
I find it all fascinating that national news outlets are all over whether or not Harry Reid needs to resign. This is laughable to me. Granted what he said was a horrible choice of words, but what is different about that then what 90% of politicians say? Does anyone actually think Harry Reid is a racist? Isn't it more likely that he occasionally speaks in a non-politically correct way just the same as all of us?
It's not even if he should resign, its just the constant bickering among Democrats and the GOP. 'Well you guys came after Trent Lott when he said something stupid, so were gonna come after your guy. It's only fair!' Really I don't know if I'm watching C-Span or an episode of the Hills lately. It is nothing but constant bitching and drama. Both parties have people that care far too much about their own ideology than their constituents. If we kicked people out of office every time a politician said something stupid we'd never have anyone in office. So for the sake of people that actually care about news instead of tuning in to hear that their own agenda is the correct one(MSNBC, FOX NEWS.)please stop creating news and maybe focus on forcing the president and congress to actually broadcast the health care debate? That seemingly is a far more important cause for concern for Harry Reid and everyone else in office. PEACE!

Opinions of the day Jan 7, 2010
I believe C-Span should eliminate the "call in" portion of it's coverage. It eliminates it as a non-partisan tool for Americans and turns it into a circus of endless political bickering that belongs on a cable channel such as FOX News of MSNBC.
I believe the women that defend Kate Gosselin as an everyday woman trying to do best by her kids shouldn't be so quick to toss aside Jon Gosselin as a horrible father and media whore, maybe he's just fighting for all the estranged husbands out there. (As an aside Jon Gosselin is most def a jackass media whore. However....so is Kate.)
I believe a casino is downtown Rochester would be great for the local economy if it was done correctly.
I believe there is no chance in hell of said casino being done correctly if local leadership in Rochester, Monroe County and New York State remains the same. (While were at it lets flood the inner loop and turn it into a canal system resembling Venice. Knock down mid-town plaza and turn it into a bustling shopping district/town square in the mold of vintage European cities. Also grant tax breaks to any company willing to invest in a privatized smaller version of the fast ferry) Think about every city within 300 miles, do any of them sound like a better tourist destination than the city I just laid out for you?
I believe 13WHAM's Evan Dawson is in the wrong profession. He belongs on the radio with an open forum to discuss any and all topics. It feels wrong to force him to report on Facebook being the demise of the modern American marriage.
I believe it is comical that 1st cousins can get married in New York State but gay couples aren't allowed to suffer like the rest of us. (this is especially a shame because Gay men are the only men in America that truly want to be married.)
I believe Chuck Klosterman is a brilliant social commentator that is a must read for all Gen Nexters.
I believe 50% of the people that gave this blog a chance already stopped reading it.
I believe that its pretty scary that most people reject cable and satellite fee increases by watching shows online. The problem with this idea is that the cable and satellite companies own all the good ISPs as well. If they don't get it from you in the form of your cable bill they will just start charging you for bandwidth used online.
I believe someone smarter than I needs to remedy that shit ASAP!
I believe women only prefer Twilight to True Blood because they think that the over the top sex on True Blood is offensive...this just in they're both about vampires who survive off the blood of living things, please check you morality at the door thanks :)
I believe that people must be telling the truth when they say the Twilight books are better than the movies, because if I'm forced to watch Taylor Lautner where the most ridiculous pair of cut off denim jeans with his shirt off I'm gonna puke.
I have to admit I wish I had Taylor Lautner's abs .
I believe I immediately regret mentioning that I have seen both Twilight films.
I couldn't care less about about the BCS championship tonight.
I think people that relay messages of the amazing time they're having in sub-tropical climates while on vacation are inviting you to douse them with freezing water as a welcome back to crapville gift.
I hope this doesn't apply to me next time I am on vacation cause i will be insufferable about the beautiful weather where ever I am.
I Love my kids, Love my Wife, and mostly Love my life.
With that said;
I think I've run out of things to complain about for the moment.
